Lisa advises on restructuring, examinership, receivership, liquidation and contentious work for insolvency practitioners, corporates and state agencies. In recognition of her unique set of skills and significant experience in the sector, Lisa has secured a number of significant mandates. Lisa has several mandates for NAMA and most significantly, continues to advise it in relation to the Commission of Investigation into Project Eagle. This is a mandate of huge significance to NAMA and draws on Lisa’s experience over the last number of years in advising on both sides of several key loan sale transactions.

  • Blackbee Investments - acting for EY as liquidators appointed by the Central Bank of Ireland to this MiFID firm.
  • Mac Interiors - acting for the company which brought a precedent setting application to allow a non EU registered company to avail of Examinership in this jurisdiction on the basis that its COMI is in Ireland.
  • Marco Polo Networks Limited - advising Interpath advisory as the Joint Liquidators of Marco Polo Networks Operations (Ireland) Limited (in liquidation) on all aspects of this liquidation in respect of a software company providing corporate customers with specialised online payments platforms using block chain technology. Advised them throughout an accelerated sale of the assets within a six week period from the date of their appointment.
  • Dolphin MUT 116 – acting for Shane McCarthy and Ian Barrett, KPMG, as Joint Liquidators to this company which created an investment product sold in Ireland which product was intended to be underpinned by German property but through which Irish investors lost tens of millions of euros.
  • JPLS Ireland Limited – in its defence of enforcement action taken by Fitzwalter in respect of various aircraft.
  • Stobart Air – acting for Ken Fennell & Mark Degnan, Deloitte, as Joint Liquidators to this airline which formerly traded as Aer Arran.
  • Roadbridge – acting for the shareholders in the context of the Bank’s appointment of receivers.
  • Charities Regulator – acting for the Regulator which presented a petition to wind up the embattled Inner City Helping Homeless charity.
  • Hammerson – advising Hammerson on various contentious matters in its capacity as landlord of various high profile shopping centres.
  • Norwegian Air Examinership – advised FPG Amentum, Goshawk, M&T Aviation Finance (Ireland) Limited and SMBC Aviation Capital Limited, in the Norwegian Air Examinership. The examinership was used to implement a significant fleet reduction and restructuring of US$5 billion of debt.
  • Car Trawler – acting for the board of Car Trawler to advise it on the consequences of the pandemic for its business and ultimately securing a €100m investment from Towerbrook.
  • Kieran Wallace, KPMG, as liquidator of the USIT group.
  • Stephen Tennant and Nick O’Dwyer, GT, joint liquidators of Drumcondra Credit Union.
  • Kieran Wallace & Cormac O’Connor, KPMG, as joint liquidators to the insurance company CBL Insurance DAC.
  • Ken Fennell of Deloitte in his capacity as receiver to the Irish Glass Bottle site at Poolbeg West, Poolbeg, Dublin 4.
  • NAMA in relation to the Commission of Investigation into Project Eagle which was a transaction completed with Cerberus in 2014 for the sale of NAMA’s Northern Irish debtor connections.
  • Commercial litigation (High court, court of appeal and Supreme Court) for Grant Thornton as Receivers of two separate shopping centres against Dunnes Stores – Ashleaf Shopping Centre and Point Village.
  • Various stakeholders in significant loan sale transactions including projects Tolka; Tower; Jewel; Pegasus; Poseidon; Paris; Evergreen; Phoenix and Kildare.
