The role will support and ensure the proper monitoring and recording of the financial performance of the Partnership through the provision of monthly management information, regulatory and statutory reports and review of accounting records. 

 

The role will involve:

  • Preparation of monthly management financial information
  • Updating of monthly cash flows and budgets
  • Produce Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Assist in the preparation of the Partnership’s annual accounts
  • Preparation of company and pension scheme accounts
  • Expense analysis
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Liaise with external auditors and advisors
  • To assist in the provision of ad hoc reports and presentations as required
  • Such other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time

 

Requirements:

  • Newly Qualified up to 2 years PQE– ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Experience in professional services sector an advantage
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent IT skills - Intermediate to Advanced Excel
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills

Knowledge Lawyer – Construction

The Construction Group advises all stakeholders involved in construction and engineering from planning and procurement to construction and through to operations. The Group advise on non-contentions and contentious matters across a broad spectrum including, housing, office, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, infrastructure, energy (onshore and offshore), transport, utilities, PPPs and data centres.

The successful candidate will work closely with other knowledge lawyers throughout the Firm and will report directly to the Head of the Firm’s Knowledge Team and will play a crucial role in supporting the team by developing and maintaining legal precedents, conducting in-depth research, and preparing comprehensive briefing materials. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in construction law and a passion for legal research and knowledge management.

 

Key Responsibilities

Precedent Development:

  • Create, update, and maintain a library of legal precedents.
  • Ensure all precedents are accurate, up-to-date, and reflect current legal standards and practices.
  • Collaborate with fee earners to identify areas where new precedents are required and develop these accordingly.

Research:

  • Conduct thorough legal research on various aspects of construction law, including case law, statutes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Analyse and interpret complex legal information to provide clear and concise summaries.
  • Stay abreast of legal developments and trends in construction law to inform the team and update precedents.

Briefing Materials:

  • Prepare detailed briefing materials for internal and external use, including client presentations, legal updates, and training sessions.
  • Draft memoranda, articles, and other written materials to support the Construction Group’s activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of content for seminars, workshops, and other professional development events.

Knowledge Management:

  • Implement and manage knowledge management systems to ensure efficient access to legal information and resources.
  • Promote best practices in knowledge sharing and utilisation within the Construction Group.
  • Provide training and support to team members on the use of knowledge management tools and resources.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with fee earners to understand their needs and provide tailored support.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic discussions regarding the development of the Construction Group.
  • Foster a collaborative environment and encourage knowledge sharing among team members.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified as a solicitor in Ireland or another common law jurisdiction with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in construction law.
  • Proven experience in legal research, precedent development, and knowledge management [is preferable but not essential].
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

We are recruiting for an experienced knowledge lawyer to work principally with our Dispute Resolution Group. The successful candidate will work closely with other knowledge lawyers throughout the Firm and will report directly to the Head of the Firm’s Knowledge Team. To the extent consistent with a principal focus on litigation and dispute resolution, the person appointed to this role may also work in other practice areas as the Firm may require.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing, maintaining and updating the Firm’s template documents and precedents (court-related and otherwise).
  • Monitoring on-going developments in law, regulation and practice relevant to the Firm’s litigation and dispute resolution practice.
  • Delivering timely updates and briefings, and undertaking and facilitating training (including workshops, lectures and Law Society-accredited events) to trainees and other practitioners within the Group and within the wider Firm, and to clients, on law, practice and procedure and on relevant legal, practice, procedural and regulatory developments.
  • Contributing to, and supporting the management and development of, the Firm’s overall knowledge resources.

Your Skills

The successful candidate will have:

  • a minimum of three years post-qualification experience with a particular focus on litigation or other forms of dispute resolution, ideally with a leading Irish or international law firm or in independent practice in the Law Library;
