Public Inquiries Overview

From time to time, organisations become embroiled in matters of serious and general public concern which demand inquiry.  The impetus for such inquiries is political, and several investigation models are available, the choice and structuring of which can have significant consequences.

Whatever the form of inquiry, organisations and individuals who become involved in public inquiries are anxious to ensure that they comply with all legal requirements imposed by the inquiry; that any written statement of their evidence is accurate and effective; that they are properly prepared to give oral evidence and that their interests are effectively protected and advanced throughout the course of the inquiry and in connection with any draft report. Our experienced team can help with all aspects of the inquiry process.
