We are currently recruiting for an experienced Recruitment Manager to lead and drive best in class recruitment strategies to source, attract and recruit exceptional talent to join our law firm. The successful candidate will work closely with a small team to oversee and deliver on the firm’s Recruitment Strategy.

Reporting to the Director of HR and People Development, you will be part of a well-established, supportive and high performing HR team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle attracting and hiring the highest calibre professional talent ensuring delivery on the firm’s sourcing and recruitment strategies.
  • Deliver a candidate centric recruitment process from attracting, sourcing, candidate engagement, selection through to hiring.
  • Work with Business leaders and HR to create an effective sourcing strategy aligned with the firms current and future talent needs while supporting the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion goals.
  • Work with Partners / Hiring Managers to develop job descriptions and advise on sourcing channels. Manage all required pre-screenings, assessments, schedule/coordinate interviews through to candidate offers ensuring effective, appropriate and timely communication with all stakeholders.
  • Research and identify effective sourcing and recruitment tools and strategies ensuring the firm’s recruitment processes evolve in line with best practice and in line with changes and developments in the competitive talent markets both nationally and internationally.
  • Build lasting and effective internal working relationships and serve as a primary source of staffing and recruitment strategy advice, consultation, and education.
  • Develop and grow strong and effective relationships with key external stakeholders e.g. agencies, universities, career offices, student societies and represent McCann FitzGerald LLP externally embodying our values and our excellent employer brand.
  • Plan for and execute the hiring of talent into the firm’s early careers programmes ensuring the recruitment drives attract and secure the highest calibre of candidates. Manage, coach and lead the Early Careers Recruiter. Ensure all candidates are appropriately screened and managed through the recruitment cycle delivering a highly professional and coordinated candidate experience.
  • In support of the Graduate Recruitment drives and McCann FitzGerald LLP’s presence as an employer of choice, manage the firm’s participation, attendance and presence at careers fairs as well as in-house held careers events enhancing the firm’s strong relationships with universities and within the local community.
  • Manage and maintain the firm’s external presence as an employer of choice through proactive relationship building, having an active presence on social media and relevant websites as well as ensuring recruitment collateral e.g. Trainee Recruitment Brochure reflects the opportunities and employment experience at McCann FitzGerald.
  • Coordinate the internal recruitment process and subsequent applications, selection and internal transfers as the need arises.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal aspects of the recruitment function as well as internal compliance with selection and recruitment processes.
  • Active and positive participation in team efforts and other relevant HR projects.

Your Skills

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 6 years professional services/corporate recruitment experience within a large firm/organisation or large recruitment agency, working with senior management teams and building strong credible relationships.
  • Demonstrate an expert knowledge of recruitment & selection techniques, Irish Employment guidelines and employment practices.
  • Exhibit a clear understanding of behavioural-based interview techniques, assessments, sourcing and tracking processes for applicants and recruitment metrics with a strong record of success.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all colleagues in the firm, external stakeholders and candidates.
  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time/project management skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and to meet deadlines on an on-going basis.
  • High energy, self-starter with a positive and proactive attitude, a willingness and ability to take ownership and responsibility for the completion of tasks and the ability to take and demonstrate initiative.
  • Ability to work well within a team, as well as independently.
  • Highly skilled in managing an online/social media presence.
  • A high degree of discretion and the ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent IT skills: accomplished in MS Office suite.
