He has significant expertise in the employment and industrial relations aspects of acquisitions, mergers, outsourcings, procurement and restructurings; including on redundancy law, union issues, consultation and TUPE.

Niall specialises in advising indigenous and multinational corporate clients on their activities in Ireland. He also regularly advises private equity sponsors and financial institutions in relation to acquisitions, disposals and restructurings.

His practice includes transactional work, such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and reorganisations, joint ventures and commercial contracts. He also undertakes a wide range of advisory work, advising on private company law issues and corporate governance matters.

Rosaleen has 25 years’ experience handling complex and large scale commercial disputes across a range of sectors, specifically financial services, communications, pharmaceutical, aviation and pensions. Her commercial disputes practice focuses on cases with a regulatory, or economic aspect and encompasses investigations, statutory inquiries and enforcement actions. Rosaleen is renowned for advising stakeholders on complex disputes in regulated sectors. Rosaleen also has considerable experience of handling data protection and privacy disputes and anti-trust cases including state aid litigation and follow on damages actions. Rosaleen has litigated on behalf of clients in a wide range of different fora, primarily in the Commercial and Competition Divisions of the High Court of Ireland and before specialist tribunals. Many of Rosaleen’s cases involve a Pan-European or International dimension.

Catherine is a very experienced litigator who advises public and private sector clients in contentious matters, with her practice covering a broad range of complex commercial and regulatory disputes. Her work is often multi-jurisdictional in nature and she works closely with international lawyers.  Catherine has particular expertise in the banking and financial services, insurance, communications, health, energy and aviation sectors.  She also has considerable experience of contentious competition matters.

Catherine advises corporates, financial institutions and insurers in connection with a wide range of commercial disputes, shareholder disputes, as well as disputes with customers and intermediaries. She has extensive experience of handling complex professional negligence claims in several fields, retained by both professionals and their insurers.

Catherine also acts for a number of regulators advising on statutory duties, decision making processes, statutory appeals, judicial reviews and enforcement action.

Catherine also advises entities who are the subject of regulatory action and those carrying out internal investigations, ranging from in-house company investigations concerning business ethics to regulatory enforcement investigations in relation to suspected illegal activity. Catherine also advises on dawn raids in a variety of sectors.

Catherine is a Founding Member and Secretary to the Irish Chapter of the Women’s White Collar Defence Association (WWCDA).

Iain is Head of the firm's Investment Management Group.

Iain has significant expertise in structuring, establishing and advising on a wide range of UCITS/AIFs including structured products, hedge funds, ETFs, loan/credit funds, real estate funds, private equity funds and infrastructure funds. Iain has also practiced in a leading international asset management and investment banking business. He chairs the Irish Funds’ Front Office Steering Group and is a member of the Irish Funds’ ETF Working Group and Real Estate Working Group.

He advises major global fund promoters and asset managers, investment banks, wealth managers, family offices, custodians and international prime brokers in connection with their Irish authorised fund activities.

Josh is a partner in the Financial Services Regulation and FinTech practice. He has wide experience advising financial services providers and other clients on regulatory and FinTech matters, including banking, investment services, payment services, electronic money services, consumer/SME finance, authorisation and compliance issues, regulatory investigations, remediation and redress projects, anti-money laundering and sanctions. 

Josh is an officer of the Banking & Financial Law Committee of the International Bar Association. He is an Expert with P.R.I.M.E. Finance, a prestigious panel of recognised international market experts in finance. Josh is on the Governing Council of the Fintech & Payments Association of Ireland, an affiliate of the Banking & Payments Federation of Ireland; he co-chairs its Regulatory Insights Group and Crypto Working Group, in which capacity, he attends regular meetings with the Central Bank of Ireland. Josh is a member of Blockchain Ireland. In 2024, he provided legal input on an Irish Funds Digital Asset Project Group’s examination of the tokenisation of financial instruments. Josh is a member of the Institute of Banking. He has experience working as an in-house lawyer at an international bank and in the Government Department of Finance.

Éamon has also been a lead adviser on many of the key landmark green and sustainable finance initiatives in Ireland over the past few years, including the issuance of Ireland’s first Green Bond in 2018 and a number of green and sustainability linked loans and private placements.
