The implementation of ECN+ into Irish law is imminent. A key moment for Irish antitrust enforcement; ECN+ will fundamentally reform the landscape, not least through the introduction of administrative fines for competition law breaches. A significant increase in enforcement is expected across the spectrum of competition law issues: abuse of dominance, problematic distribution practices, and coordination between competitors. It is important for all firms to be prepared for this step change in antitrust enforcement.
