Lonán Collins

Lonán practices in the area of commercial litigation and dispute resolution and has particular experience advising corporates and state bodies in contractual and insurance disputes.  He has a strong record of working on claims involving contractual interpretation, payment obligations, indemnities and shareholder rights.  Lonán has worked on two landmark insurance cases in recent years, being a business interruption claim for publicans against a large Irish insurer following the disruption to the hospitality sector caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and the indemnity claim of a large Irish aircraft lessor against its insurers for the loss of aircraft which were seized by Russia following its invasion of Ukraine. Lonán also advises on regulatory powers and policy development.
