Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace – where are we now?
While Irish legislation sets minimum legal standards in regard to age, disability, race, religion, gender and sexual orientation, a comprehensive Diversity and Inclusion strategy in the workplace must go beyond mere compliance. Diversity and inclusion (“D&I”) are integral to how organisations attract, retain, develop and engage employees.
During this webinar, Mary Brassil and Ellen Nolan discussed a range of issues currently affecting the D&I landscape in the workplace, including the business case for D&I, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on D&I and in particular, the dramatic increase in remote working and how this interacts with D&I initiatives, legal developments in relation to remote working, flexible working and the right to disconnect, and an update on the status of gender pay gap reporting.
