McCann FitzGerald advises Vhi on its acquisition of sole control of Vhi SwiftCare Clinics

We have advised Vhi, the largest private medical insurer in Ireland, on its acquisition of Centric Health’s 50% interest in the Vhi SwiftCare Clinics.  The acquisition was approved by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission in May 2017. The Vhi SwiftCare Clinics were established in 2005 as a joint venture between Vhi and Centric Health as Ireland’s first walk-in, urgent care clinics, providing rapid assessment, treatment and advice for patients with a range of minor injuries and illnesses.  The acquisition enables Vhi to offer the services provided in the Vhi SwiftCare Clinics exclusively to its policyholders with effect from 1 September 2017.
