McCann FitzGerald LLP advises ESB on its €2.4 billion five-year sustainability linked revolving credit facility
We are delighted to have worked with our long-standing client ESB on its five-year €2.4 billion sustainability-linked revolving credit facility (RCF), incorporating a swingline facility of up to €1 billion. The RCF has been provided by 15 international banks, with BNP Paribas acting as Coordinator and MUFG Bank and Societe Generale acting as Joint Sustainability Coordinators.
The RCF, which replaces the €1.4 billion facility put in place in 2020, contains specific targets directly linked to ESB’s Net Zero by 2040 strategy. It will run to July 2030, with options to extend the maturity to July 2032. ESB’s announcement is available here.
The McCann FitzGerald LLP team was led by Fergus Gillen along with Rachel Cosgrove and Alan Kelly.
