McCann FitzGerald LLP advises Greencoat Renewables on its agreement to acquire a Solar Farm in County Meath
McCann FitzGerald LLP are pleased to have advised Greencoat Renewables on its agreement, under a forward sale model, to acquire a solar farm from Statkraft. The agreement relates to the South Meath solar farm (80.5 MW peak) in County Meath and represents Greencoat’s first acquisition of a solar farm in Ireland.
The acquisition will complete once the solar farm is fully operational, which is expected to occur in the fourth quarter of 2023. Greencoat Renewables will buy a 50% stake in the solar farm, with the other 50% bought by a pension fund, investing through a fund also managed by Greencoat Capital LLP.
