McCann FitzGerald LLP Wins ‘Law Firm of the Year’ and ‘European Litigation Team of the Year’ at The Lawyer European Awards 2021

This is the third time in six years that the firm has been recognised as overall winner in the ‘Law Firm of the Year for Ireland’ category.  In making the awards, the firm was commended for its “excellent display of teamwork”, together with “being able to adapt at pace” which “clearly sets the firm apart from the rest”.

In the last year or so, McCann FitzGerald LLP has worked on a number of very high-profile Irish and international transactions, including AerCap’s US$ 30bn acquisition of GECAS, AbbVie on its US$ 63bn acquisition of Allergan, AIB’s purchase of Ulster Bank’s €4.2bn corporate and commercial loan book, Beauparc on its reported €1bn sale to Macquarie and Brookfield Renewables’ €571m acquisition by Ørsted, as well as playing a key role in two of the four 'test cases' taken in the Irish courts this year regarding business interruption insurance following the outbreak of Covid-19.
