Bébhinn's practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, regulatory litigation and investigations. She represents and advises clients in the resolution of disputes predominently in the Commercial division of the High Court. 

She has extensive expertise advising online platforms on contentious issues arising from user generated content, the use of AI, commercial agreements, jurisdictional issues and regulatory regimes.

Bébhinn also assists clients with cross border litigation and has expertise in cross border fraud claims, including in relation to cryptocurrency.  She works extensively with foreign counsel, including advising on the EU Regulations governing jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters.

  • A financial services firm in respect of a confidential statutory investigation under the Market Abuse Regulations.
  • An aircraft lessor on a significant coverage dispute with its insurers arising out of the loss of aircraft on lease to Russian airlines following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
  • A global plc on a short selling attack and engagement with the Irish regulator.
  • A victim of cryto currency fraud in a successful application for Norwich Pharmacal relief against a cryptocurrency exchange.
  • An online platform on issues of content regulation, law enforcement requests and take down notices.
  • An online platform in its defence of defamation proceedings.
  • Raheenleagh Power DAC in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court regarding a challenge to a decision of the Commissioner for Environmental Information.
  • A foreign state on seeking Norwich pharmacal relief against Irish defendants, the Evidence Regulation, letters rogatory and the interaction between ongoing proceedings in England, BVI, Cayman and Cyprus.
  • An Irish ICAV board in respect of the recovery of losses to a QIAIF and its engagement with investors, the Central Bank and the alternative investment fund manager.
