McCann FitzGerald LLP advises Sirius Aviation Capital in connection with its acquisition of seven additional aircraft

We advised Sirius Aviation Capital in connection with the financing and joint venture aspects of its recent acquisition of a portfolio of five single-aisle, mid-life aircraft from SMBC Aviation Capital. 

This portfolio comprised of three Airbus A320-200 aircraft on lease to Peach Aviation (Japan), Iberia (Spain) and Volaris (Mexico) and two Boeing 737-800 aircraft on lease to Sun Express (Turkey) and was part-financed by a debt facility arranged by Ashland Place Finance LLC.  Joe Fay and Ronan Murphy advised in connection with the financing elements of this transaction.  Niall Best and Ciara O’Herlihy advised in connection with the joint venture aspects of this transaction.

We also advised Sirius Aviation Capital in the separate purchase, financing and joint venture aspects of the purchase of two aircraft, an Airbus A321-200 aircraft on lease to ANA (Japan) and an Airbus A320-200 on lease to Wizz Air (Hungary), from an undisclosed Japanese lessor.  Joe Fay and Ronan Murphy advised in connection with the financing and aircraft purchase elements of this transaction.  Niall Best and Ciara O’Herlihy advised in connection with the joint venture aspects of this transaction.

These transactions have increased the total number of aircraft under Sirius’s management to 17 with an approximate value of US$500 million.
