GDPR: Compliance, Concerns and Covid - Survey Results

Processing details of vaccine status, international transfers, claims by data subjects and the increasing risk of enforcement action are just some of the issues that organisations have to grapple with from a data protection and privacy perspective.

With this in mind, McCann FitzGerald LLP and Mazars have, for the sixth consecutive year and in advance of Data Privacy Day 2022, commissioned research into the ongoing impact of GDPR on businesses and operations in Ireland.

Following an overview of the research findings, we hosted a discussion with Paul Lavery, Doug McMahon, Amy Brick and representatives of Mazars and the Data Protection Commission Ireland, into the issues highlighted by our report and what organisations can do to deal with the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities raised.
