McCann FitzGerald advises Blackstone as lender to Henderson Park on its €1.34bn acquisition of Green Reit plc.
Green Reit was the first real estate investment trust to float on the Irish stock exchange in 2013.
It subsequently acquired a prime office portfolio mainly in Dublin. In April 2019 Green Reit announced it would seek a buyer for the company, or its assets and in late July UK-based Henderson Park was announced as preferred bidder. The sale to Henderson Park was effected by way of a High Court approved Scheme of Arrangement and completed on 14 November 2019.
McCann FitzGerald advised The Blackstone Mortgage Trust Inc. (part of the Blackstone private equity firm) on all issues connected with its provision of acquisition funding to Henderson Park.
