McCann FitzGerald LLP advises WestRock on combination with Smurfit Kappa

We are pleased to have partnered with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP on advising WestRock on its agreed combination with Smurfit Kappa to create Smurfit WestRock. The deal is set to create a global leader in sustainable packaging. Subject to the satisfaction of the conditions to closing, the transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2024.
