McCann FitzGerald LLP Advises Greencoat Renewables on the Launch of its New Green Digital Infrastructure Platform and its Drogheda Energy Park Investment
We are pleased to announce that we have advised Greencoat Renewables on its successful launch of a new green digital infrastructure platform and its first investment into green digital infrastructure.
The transaction involved the establishment of the new green digital infrastructure platform - a 50:50 joint venture with Schroders Greencoat's evergreen vehicle, SCSL Global Energy Infrastructure – and its acquisition of the former Premier Periclase facility in Drogheda, Co. Louth. This transaction marks a significant milestone for our client, with the new platform focussing on opportunities where grid access, land and energy infrastructure can be combined to serve the fast-growing and high energy requirements of digital infrastructure, supporting AI-led growth.
The cross-departmental McCann FitzGerald team was led by John Neeson, Donncha Sexton and Laura Sheehan (Corporate and M&A), Éamon O’Cuív (Finance), Edel Corry and Richard Christie (Real Estate), Brendan Slattery and Caoimhe Dunne (Planning and Environmental), Mary Brassil and Sinead Harrington (Employment), James Quirke and Ian Hanrahan (Tax), Adam Finlay and Catherine Walsh (IP/IT and DP), Clementine Farrell (Pensions), Laura Treacy and Stephen Ryan (Competition) and Ray Hunt (Company Secretarial), with support from a deep bench of talented lawyers.
