We acted for Ecocem Materials Limited in relation to a €22.5m investment by Breakthrough Energy Ventures, a private equity fund established by Bill Gates and which invests in businesses that have the potential to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The investment puts a valuation of €200m on Ecocem, a manufacturer and distributor of environmentally-friendly cement that was established in 2000.
